Bitters & Spirit-free Beverages

Bitters & Spirit-free Beverages

from $5.00

A rotating selection of our favorite “spirit-free” beverages, syrups and bitters. For us, “non-alcoholic” drinks aren’t cloyingly sweet sodas or bizarre clones of booze. We tend to lean towards botanical, earthy, bittersweet flavors—but we value complexity and uniqueness above any specific categorization!

Phony Negroni by St. Agrestis:

Non-alcoholic with nuanced juniper, citrus, and floral notes, the St. Agrestis Phony Negroni® drinks with the same bitterness drinkers of the classic cocktail expect, sans alcohol. We’ve also added carbonation to help mimic the bite that alcohol typically provides. Enjoy chilled straight from the bottle or over ice with an orange twist. Or for a bubbly, low ABV option, top with Prosecco for a Negroni Sbagliato.

Amaro Falso by St. Agrestis:

Non-alcoholic but made using the same combination of all-natural citrus, botanical, and herbal ingredients found in their spiritous amaro. Ready-to-drink and individually portioned, Amaro Falso is similar to an Amaro Highball, driven by nuanced notes of herbal spice, mint and bitter complexity from gentian root. The result is a refreshing beverage that makes it an ideal cocktail that fans of Italian aperitivi and digestivi expect. Lastly, carbonation and nitrogen have been added to help mimic the bite and mouth feel that alcohol typically provides. Enjoy chilled straight from the bottle or over ice with an orange twist.

Artemisia “Quercus” Oak Bitters:

Tasting of faded bonfires and sun-warmed pine, Quercus is the autumnal journey inward, where the yearns of the year spin ensconced in lantern light. Laden tables and full glasses, hands at rest and hearts at ease, Quercus is a hearth amidst the snowy dark of winter.

Rounded and broadly bitter, slightly spiced at the close, with a mid palate defined by aged spicebox and tobacco.

TASTING NOTES: French oak staves, vanilla bean, petrichor, sun-dried pine, bitter orange rind, grated nutmeg, cut ice, acorn, granite, moss, bonfire, char, applewood.

PAIRINGS: bourbon, rum, mezcal, fruit, sweet vermouth, oloroso, dark amari

Artemisia “Junio” Elder Bitters:

Alpine and herbal on the nose, with a sweeping rush of elderflower at the finish. The palate is dark and refined, leaning into cold, piercing wormwood, rounded by clove buds and dried lemon.

TASTING NOTES: Lavender blossom, juniper berry, elderflower, kelp, fennel seed, marigold, fresh sage, sourwood honey, maple sugar, melting snow.

PAIRINGS: fino, tequila, aquavit, vodka, japanese whisky

Artemisia “Æstas” Sumac Bitters:

Æstas unfurls itself along the palate like the heady, brambled cascade of late summer’s blossoms. Woody with hardened thorns, yet fragrant with buds and blooms, Æstas leads with the bright astringency of sumac while delving deep into the dark breadth of roasted roots and piquent seeds.

TASTING NOTES: Budding flowers, lemon rind, patchouli, musk, sweet tobacco leaf, ivy, potpourri, marmalade, gentian, fresh lemon, almond, orange blossom, poplar bark, lilac

PAIRINGS: spritz cocktails, sparkling wine, rye whiskey, gin, fino sherry, sweet and dry vermouth

Artemisia “Incendia” Smoked Cherry Bitters:

Layered and sensual on the tongue, Incendia leads with the fleeting embrace of tart cherry, followed by a dance of smoke across the back of the tongue. Echoing, dusty bitterness closes the palate.

TASTING NOTES: Tart cherry, lemon rind, sweet orange, lapsang souchong tea, cardamom, bamboo, clove, star anise, gentian root, smoke, dust, terracotta, leather, caramelized sugar.

PAIRINGS: classics, whiskey, mezcal, floral gin, campari, sweet vermouth, moscatel, amontillado

DRAM “Hair of the Dog” Bitters

Handcrafted using a unique blend of herbs that may ease the ailments caused by the overindulgence of a good time. Can be mixed into cocktails or employed to alleviate nausea, stress headaches, anxiety, or an upset stomach. Warming and spicy with flavors of ginger, fennel, cinnamon and wild herbs. We’ve designed these to have a flavor profile reminiscent of the aromatic bitters used in all the classic cocktails, but ours are all natural! Great with whiskey, bourbon, tea, or straight in soda water. These are the bitters you want to buy for the Old-Fashioned and Manhattan lover in your life.

Cheeky Espresso Syrup:

We’re pleased to introduce our Espresso Syrup with coffee sourced from Café Integral, a small batch specialty coffee roaster in Brooklyn NY. The blend is carefully composed and roasted from seasonal Nicaraguan coffees, and we’ve added only cane sugar and gum arabic for balanced sweetness and texture.

Espresso Martinis are notoriously difficult to make, requiring numerous ingredients and fresh brewed espresso to get a proper foamy crema on the surface of the cocktail. Our coffee selection and the addition of gum arabic (a mixologist-approved natural emulsifier) ensure you’ll get a proper crema each time you shake, and best of all, you only need to mix two ingredients to make the perfect Espresso Martini at home! Always refrigerate after opening.
