Manual is aiming to activate our Chicago storefront in Spring 2022 with a series of “shop-within-a-shop” pop-ups and we’re looking for designers/makers to feature. The ideal collaborators would have:
👉 a large enough body of work to be a focal point in our small storefront for 4-6 weeks 👉 an established following that would be interested in shopping your goods in-person 👉 objects/work in multiples at a tabletop scale (ie ceramics, functional home goods, textiles, etc) but more importantly an aesthetic and ethos that aligns well with what we do 👉 accessible retail price points, relative to the designed goods we make and sell 🖐 a hands-on, collaborative interest in a retail showcase
If this is you or someone you know, please reach out! This is probably best suited to Chicago-locals, but we’re open to any interesting conversation.
This is an experiment as we step more confidently into retail—so this is not a call for wholesalers as much as it is a call for collaborators looking to bring their goods into a physical space. Thanks in advance for any leads or interest!
