The Manual Manhattan

The depths of winter require deep warming. Nothing does it quite like a Manhattan for me—but to get it right, it’s all in the details. Old Grandad has the high rye mash for the spice, Cocchi Vermouth has the complex herbal sweetness, and Cynar provides an almost chocolate-like bitterness. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry, or express an orange peel. Stir, strain, sip, repeat. See you in the spring.
